UNTITLED
This was the very first painting of the systemic work in answer
to an assignment in graduate school. The effects of the system
were unknown to Bob until this painting was finished.
UNTITLED
This is the very largest of the paintings that still exist from the 70's.
It was included with several other large pieces (which have since
been tragically lost) that were in Bob's one-man-show at the
Berkshire Museum in Pittsfield, MA. At this time, the medium consisted of aluminum paint (oil based from the hardware store),
oil based enamel, and chalk line on raw, unprimed canvas.
APSU
According to ancient Assyrian-Babylonian mythology, APSU was
that body of water that surrounded the earth and on which the earth floated. It was the source of all the great rivers and streams , and
also of all the truth and knowledge in the world.
