In the fall of 2007, Bob was invited for the second
time to be an artist in residence at the Robert M.
MacNamara Artist Residency Program on Westport
Island. He was invited, as a composer, to finish a
choral composition about John Franklin. The piece
was finished in three weeks leaving three more weeks for free creativity. By chance, Bob shared his past paintings with two good new friends, world class painters in their own rights. Their enthusiasm for his work led Bob into exploring the systemic ideas from his past once more.
The new work was done on high quality, heavy weight 23" x 30" watercolor paper with acrylic medium tinted with watercolor pigments using a one inch brush. Two of the "Westport Pieces" were selected for the Biennial Exhibition at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art in Rockport. This page contains a sampling from that years work.
